Year In Review: Beauty Product Favorites of 2020

*This post contains affiliate links*

Even though we were all at home in 2020, I still found a way to use my beauty products to their full advantage. Knowing what others loved during the year in terms of beauty is always one of my personal favorite posts to read, and it is a great way to find new stuff as well! Here are my beauty product favorites of 2020!

Revlon One-Step

There is a reason this is first on my beauty product favorites! For years I would spend hours drying my hair only to have to turn around and straighten it. My mom raved about the Revlon one-step for probably a full year before I broke down and bought one for myself. Not only has it cut my hair drying time down by at least 75%, but I couldn’t tell you the last time I used a flat iron on my giant curly hair.

Tarte Maracuja juicy lip

This is actually my most out of my recent beauty product favorites! I had wanted the trio that everyone was sharing all over Instagram, but I could never find the one I wanted. Luckily, my mom came through! I have worn nothing but these products on my lips, and the Holiday Spritz shade is a “my lips but better” color, and they feel incredible on. I cannot recommend these enough!

Benefit Bad Gal Bang mascara

I feel like Benefit Bad Gal Bang was all anyone talked about a few years ago. All of my favorite bloggers were going on PR trips for the launch and it was everywhere. For some reason, I stopped using it but bought a new one this year to try again. Needless to say, I absolutely love it and what it does for my lashes. It never clumps and gives my lashes a bit of a boost.

Nuface mini

The older I get, the more I notice my skin changing. Around Thanksgiving there was a sale on Ulta for the Nuface Mini and I decided to finally take the plunge. While I have not been as consistent as I should be, I can actually tell a difference in my facial features. There is more definition, less bloat around my face, and less fine lines and wrinkles. I am going to write a post when I use it for the recommended time!

Belief the true cream Aqua Bomb

For those who have been around here a long time, you know how much I used to love the Tatcha Water Cream. My boyfriend actually didn’t like it so I found Belief Aqua Bomb as an alternative for him. I actually ended up trying it out a few times and like it better than the Tatcha version. Not only is it cheaper, but I think it is more hydrating and the hydration lasts longer. Belief is also a great brand with so many different amazing products!

Cerave Hydrating Facial Cleanser

I really cut down my skincare in 2020. I felt like I was overdoing it and needed to give my skin a break. It seemed like everyone on the planet was using CeraVe and so I decided to pick up a bottle. Even Will uses it now and we have gone through at least four or five bottles in 2020 alone. It is incredibly gentle, affordable, and it really cleans my skin.

Rare Beauty Dewy Lip Balm

I’m pretty sure I have mentioned this in another beauty product favorites list, but here we are again! I was highly suspicious if Selena Gomez would put out a line worth anything. I purchased Praise

Summer Fridays Jet Lag Mask

In all seriousness, I don’t think I could possibly tell you how many of these I have gone through. It has to be at least seven or eight by this point. My skin really loves this mask and if I am ever having texture or evenness issues, this is what I pull out. It absorbs so well and I usually just leave it on and go about my day. A little goes a long way too! I don’t think this will ever not be on a beauty product favorites list!

Silk Pillowcase

If you read my post about silk pillowcases, then you already know all about the benefits of them. If not, make sure you read it here! Silk pillowcases have so many different beauty benefits for your hair and skin. I also love mine because it helps regulate the heat at night, and I cannot sleep if I get the least bit warm. Also, mine is under $25 from Amazon!

Ouidad Curl Shaper cowash

My curly hair and I are always in a battle for moisture. After spending what seems like hours listening to others talk about their hair, I decided to try out a cowash. I love this one because I think it cleans my hair without weight it down, and I typically have less frizz if I use this product. Honestly, that’s all I can ask for right now!

Foreo UFO

This is another one of those expensive tools that I treated myself to this year. I’m always a fan of a face mask and this combines light therapy and sonic vibration to help your skin get everything it can from a face mask. I love the mask options that are available with this system, and it is honestly such a treat. I think there is an updated version out now that offers even more options!

Since stuck at home my yearly favourite beauty products were mostly moisturizers and face washes, whatever kept my skin nice and smooth.
