Now that we are in the house (yay!), we have had some time to really sit back and look at the choices we made. Will was afraid of painting all of the walls white, but it was something that I knew I wanted. After living in our house, do we regret it?

It Made the House A Blank Palette
Something that I really love about choosing white walls is that we haven’t been limited in terms of styling. If you don’t know, we completely started over when we moved in. The existing furniture we had was not in the best shape. Since we did not have the room to store furniture before our move, we have been ordering items now that the house is complete.
The idea of painting our walls in different colors has definitely crossed my mind. As we add new furniture to our home, I do not regret painting the walls white at all. I think it has made our design process so much easier. Painting the walls white has made it so much easier to find our design style.
They Technically are Not White
None of the walls in our house are true white. They are a white base with different color variations. Will said a true white would be too sterile. Our master bedroom and bathroom are Behr Campfire Ash which is the perfect mushroom-esque beige. It toned the room down without losing any brightness.
Behr Painter’s White is a great solution for those who want white walls, but they don’t want something that is too cold. I have this in our large guest suite. It is also in our second guest suite as well. It has a tinge of beige to the color, but it still looks and photographs as a white wall.
Lastly, we have Behr Canyon Wind in the common areas of the house. To be honest with you, it really looked green to me with the first layer on. It has since lost its green tint, and I am happy with our decision. It is more of a cool-toned gray on the walls!
The Good News
With our lovely white walls, we can always paint the walls any color we want super easily. As our interior style progresses, I am looking forward to seeing if our walls stay white, or if we choose to liven the place up.

We are in the middle of painting our whole house white. I love that white walls give you a blank canvas for any decor design xo

Lisa AutumnAbsolutely! It is a great way to make sure you know exactly what color you want to paint it when you make the decision!

I’m so happy you don’t regret it! I really love white walls because it just makes everything feel so bright and clean, and as you said, you can decorate and really make other things pop in each room.

AshleyFor sure! I thought that I would want to add some paint to the walls, but adding art and decor has really helped warm the place up!

I loved this! Painting the walls dark seem to be all the rage at the minute, but I know that I would hate it, as I can imagine that it makes the room so dark. At least with white walls you can decorate how you’d like xx

HannahThat is what I fought with myself. I knew I would like it for a while, but it would be such a pain to cover up once I got over it!

This color use to be a bit “dirty” and you have to keep more maintenance but I love white walls! It makes every space bigger and with a lot of light.

EIt does bring in so much light! We went for a white that had just a slight tint to it, so it has been great for keeping our maintenance as low as possible.
