How I actually feel about the Pat McGrath Labs Skin Fetish Sublime Perfection Foundation

I’ve been loyal to the Dior Backstage Face & Body Foundation since it released, and I knew it would take a lot for me to switch it up! When I found out about the Pat McGrath Labs Skin Fetish Sublime Perfection Foundation, I was immediately interested in seeing what it was about. Pat McGrath is one of the icons when it comes to makeup, and someone who I have always had great respect for.
The Pat McGrath Labs Skin Fetish Sublime Perfection Foundation is the first foundation she has released, and it arrived with 36 different shades to choose from.
What you get, and what it promises
First of all, it was surprisingly hard to get a hold of it! It took multiple orders from Sephora, but it eventually arrived. It comes in a sleek box which is standard when it comes to Pat McGrath packing. The foundation feels nice and heavy, and you can tell they went beyond the call of duty when it comes to packaging. For a steep $68, you get 1.18oz of product.
This foundation has a consistency that is more like a serum, but it is quite similar to my Dior Backstage foundation that I love. This is a little more liquid, but nothing that is a deal breaker. It is meant to hydrate, blur, and smooth your skin. You can get whatever coverage you want out of this foundation, and it builds quite well.
- Vita-Serum Complex: Fights off wrinkles (hi, yes!)
- Diamond Core Powder Technology: Smooths and blurs skin to enhance texture and decrease the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles (another yes!)

My honest thoughts about the Pat McGrath Labs Skin Fetish Sublime Perfection Foundation
I’ll be straight up with you, it’s not my favorite. Do I enjoy the foundation? Absolutely. Will I be repurchasing after I’m done with this bottle? No. The main reason is that it doesn’t outperform my Dior Backstage, and it is over twice the price. Feel free to check out the full details here!
For me, I have never been into layering foundation that much. I like to put one layer on and be ready to go. Since I don’t wear makeup every day, if I’m putting on makeup, it is an event sis. That being said, it isn’t bad. If you’re looking to treat yourself to a new foundation, then I do suggest it. If you can, head out to Sephora and get a sample to see if it something that works for you!

I just can’t get over how pricey this foundation is, and I just can’t bring myself to spend that much. Totally with you on not liking layering either xx

HannahI know, I can’t believe the price tag for the foundation. It is beautiful and all, but not worth it!

It’s great you got it in the end but it’s a shame that it doesn’t work for you!

SundayDahliasThe packaging is seriously to die for, and I think that is part of what made me purchases it!

Love your honest feedback! Finding a holy grail foundation is so important, my favorite at the moment is Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer !

EmilyYes! I used to love that, I used it all through college, I may need to revisit it!
Jasmine
Thank you for your honesty! with Pat McGrath being as expensive as it is, it kind of has to be a game-changer to be worth it over the other foundations out there

JasmineIt really does, and I think that is what I was expecting out it! Maybe she will come up with some insane formula for her next one!
