2021 has finally arrived! While the presence of a new year does not promise to erase the bad year we all had, there is some hope! I knew that I had some life changes I wanted to make in 2021. Not only are these to better my overall life, but they are also to work on me internally as well. If you are looking to make some life changes yourself, here are some ideas.
Reducing Plastic use
I’m not going to lie; we suck at recycling and the amount of plastic we use. Since we finally have the room to store items properly and have a functional recycling space in our new home, reducing plastic use is one of the life changes that I knew I had to make in 2021. I ordered a Full House Kit from Kinfill a few weeks back, and I have been waiting until we finished some of the cleaning products we have been using. Keep an eye out for an update on how these products perform; I am so excited to incorporate them into our home!
Living More in the moment
If you have ever been a content creator, you probably know exactly what I am talking about. I often find myself thinking about what I could do for my social media platforms or my blog instead of just enjoying what I am doing. I want to spend more time outdoors. Away from my computer in 2021. Also to enjoy the life I am living and all of the little moments that it holds.
Worrying less in general
For about the past year and a half, I have been dealing with some severe panic issues. Not only have they been unpleasant, but they have also had severe impacts on my life. I caught myself stressing out over every detail. I would be so worried about having a panic attack that I would cause myself to have one. One of the most significant life changes that I want to make in 2021 is to stop worrying! Most of us are always worrying about things we cannot change, so that is one of my biggest priorities.
some blogging changes
With five years of blogging, being just a few days away, I always like to reflect on how I feel about my blog overall. I use this period of the year to figure out a direction for my content and what my readers loved the previous year. With the name change in September, I feel like my blog is overall more connected to the life I am living now. I want to continue to focus on self-care topics and more advice, slow living, and my beauty and fashion faves as well.
