For almost three years, I used GoDaddy as my domain and hosting provider. It was one of those situations where it was the first one that I had looked at, and not knowing anything, it was good enough for me! At the beginning of this year, I launched Maybeafterbrunch. After having some serious issues with my previous provider, I knew that I had to find something else. After some internet research, I decided to try out Siteground.
I do want to be upfront about being an affiliate of *Siteground, and if you know me at all, then you know I don’t promote anything that I don’t actually use myself. *Siteground has been the best addition to my blogging toolbox. Not only is it so much easier to use, but it is SO MUCH CHEAPER. I cannot stress how much cheaper it is instead of the provider that I use to use.
It’s seriously affordable
My total cost for hosting my blog was actually over double what I pay currently. I’m the kind of person that believes in paying for quality, but if I can get better quality for a cheaper price, you can BET that I’m going to take that opportunity. Many of the benefits that come standard on *Siteground were paid on my last hosting provider. I have the GrowBig plan, for the sole purpose of growth, and I love the automatic backups! You can upgrade or downgrade your plan at anytime, and it is really easy to do!
When you sign up for a WordPress blog, they actually tell you to get *Siteground! I’m not really sure how I avoided it for so long! Siteground actually has a service that will completely transfer your website to their hosting platform. You can also use the WordPress installer to create a brand new website. Siteground is so user friendly!
With my former provider, I had so many issues with the customer service and cPanel platform. I’m not completely lost when it comes to the backend of a blog, but they made it so difficult. Every time I contacted them it was basically just them trying to upsell me items that I didn’t need. *Siteground keeps everything organized and easy to understand.
Not to mention, Siteground has amazing customer service! They resolve my issues in just a few minutes and have helped me understand what to do if it happens again in the future. When I accidentally deleted my blog at the beginning of the year, I knew I had to have backups for this blog. With the plan that I have, there are automatic backups so that you never lose your work!
