Blogging has been one of the most rewarding things that I have done for myself. While it is something I am passionate about, there are times when I find myself lacking motivation. This can be caused by many things, but there are a few reasons that I have identified. I’m sharing ways that I find motivation as a blogger, and I hope you find them to be motivational to you!
You are good enough!
There are some incredible bloggers out there! Sadly, there have been numerous times when I wondered if I was enough good enough to create content that other people would read! Let me just tell you that you ARE good enough. Not everyone is perfect at everything they do, and that is okay! Most things that I have done in my life, I had to learn through trial and error. The most important thing that I can ever say to you is that the only person you are competing with is. yourself. What other people are creating is none of your concern! Instagram isn’t real life, and I think we can sometimes forget that.
Make Sure You Are Supportive
As much as I love blogging, there are negative sides to it. The majority of those negativities come from other bloggers not supporting their peers! It’s become a game, and that can take away your motivation sooner than a vacuum getting rid of some dog hair. If you’re serious about staying in the game, you’ve got to support others! I would be nowhere without the bloggers that I have met along the way, and I’m thankful anytime someone asks me for advice or help. You can be supportive in numerous ways. My favorite is making sure that I am engaging with creators that I love!
Read Some Books, Girl!
I’ve always been an avid reader. I take time out of my day right before bed to read a few chapters in whatever book I’m currently reading. Reading is essential because it gets us out of the digital world. My favorite genre to read is books that I find to empower me to better myself. Personally, I just relate to them a lot more than I would fiction. A few that I enjoy are The Self-Love Experiment, Mastering Your Mean Girl, What Would Dolly Do, The Champagne Diet, and anything that Sarah Knight has written, just to name a few! Reading has always been a great way to help me find motivation as a blogger, and to discover new aspects of my mind!
The best motivation comes from good intentions
Point Blank Sister. If you go into something with any sort of bad intentions, it’s going to be really difficult to find the motivation to keep going. I think by now, we all know that authenticity is really the only way to ever gain any traction in the digital world. People often ask how I can post so often, and it is really easy! I write about topics that I’m passionate, I get joy out of sharing everything I know, and it is still exciting to me. The best motivation is to know that even one tiny tip helped someone out.
