How to look like you got 48 hours of sleep, even though you really didn’t

I don’t know about you, but I feel like I never get enough sleep. It doesn’t matter how early I go to bed, but my body doesn’t like to sleep that much! What my body doesn’t realize is that it actually needs the sleep! I’ve been able to figure three ways that I can fake like I got 48 hours of sleep even though I totally didn’t!

48 hours sleep

Seriously, go drink some water

I’m not kidding! As soon as you finish reading this post, you need to go grab yourself a glass of water. Water is the best beauty secret that anyone can ever tell you. Not only is it necessary for the health of your body, but it can have a huge impact on your outward appearance as well. While it isn’t a 100% solution to looking like you got 48 hours of sleep, it can’t hurt! While I’m on the topic of water, try washing your face with cold water in the mornings! It will wake you up, and it always makes me feel more energized!

A great pillow makes a huge difference!

I’m embarrassed to admit that at almost thirty years old, I was sleeping on the worst pillows ever. I constantly woke up with neck pain and a general lack of sleep. Majority of the night was me flipping my pillow around to get the support that I needed. On a trip to Bed Bath & Beyond a few months ago, I decided that I was going to become an adult and pick up a nice pillow. This is the point I would like to tell you that I didn’t spend $100+ on the best pillow ever, but I did.

Before you roll your eyes, let me explain! Who knew that there were pillows designated for how you slept! Ever since I picked up this pillow, I have noticed a huge difference in the quality of sleep I get. I wake up feeling more well rested, and while I might not be getting 48 hours of sleep, I feel like I do!

If all else fails, conceal!

Makeup might be cheating, but sometimes it is all we have! A quick way to fake 48 hours of sleep is to find a concealer that covers and brightens! One of my everyday concealer is the Charlotte Tilbury Magic Away Concealer which seriously covers dark circles and makes you look amazingly rested!

If you’re looking for something that has some serious coverage and staying power, the YSL All Hours Concealer is no joke! I love the finish that it leaves on my skin, and it never feels too heavy. My recent concealer has been the Becca Aqua Luminous Perfecting Concealer! It feels incredibly moisturizing under my eyes and helps keep skin radiant without looking greasy.
