Why you need to start branding your blog

If you’re a blogger, then you probably think of your blog as your child, right? Your blog has a certain look, it has amazing content that you have spent hours creating, and you want to make sure that everyone knows you are the creator behind all of it! I’m sharing a few tips on how and why you need to start branding your blog from day one!

It makes your recognizable

One of the best reasons to start branding your blog is so that when people see your logo, colors, or just branding package in general, they want to click on it because they know the quality of content they are going to get. If you use Pinterest, then you probably know all about the importance of branding your blog content on the platform. In a sea of millions of great posts, you want yours to stand out! When I create my Pinterest graphics, I always make sure to use the same colors, fonts, and style. I’ve been able to build a brand that I love, and one that stands out from the crowd as well.

Fake it till you make it!

Ah, the best blogging tip ever! You might be a brand new blogger, but if you come out of the gate with branded content, no one will ever know that you are new! Anyone can throw together a quick graphic, but by taking the time when it comes to branding your blog, you’re showing a potential reader that you take it more seriously and that your content is worthy of their time. As I always say, there is nothing better you can do to grow your blog than to provide great value to someone who takes the time to read your blog.

Most importantly, it protects your content

As much we all hate it, people sometimes still your content. I’ve had a girl completely rip off my blog posts, as well as the Pinterest graphics that went along with them. Because I had been branding my blog forever, I was able to identify what was going on, and I was able to shut it down quickly. Something else that can happen on Pinterest is others using graphics that you created to lead to their own content. By putting your logo or website on a graphic, it makes it much more difficult for someone to jack your content.

This is such an important topic. I love that you included that it protects you. I have seen a lot of graphics on Pinterest that have been stolen and lead somewhere else.
