At the beginning of this year, I had a really bad skin situation. I had tons of bumps, itchy and dry areas, and discoloration. If you have read my previous skincare post, then you know that I have been dedicated to a skincare routine for years. When my skin was doing poorly, I decided that it was time for a skincare revamp. Here are all of the new things I have added to my skincare routine.

Summer Fridays Super Amino Gel Cleanser
Ever since Summer Fridays hit the scene, I have been a huge fan of the brand. When I was browsing Sephora a while ago, I saw that they had a brand new cleanser come out, and since I was having some skin issues, I decided to give it a go. It is a no-frills cleanser that does what it says.
The Super Amino Gel Cleanser has 11 amino acids meant to replenish, protect, and support the elasticity of your skin. The bottle is also this gorgeous glass which is great for reducing plastic use. Atomized seawater helps to reduce irritation and sodium lactate helps to retain moisture.
I use two small pumps day and night to wash, and my skin feels clean but not stripped. It has a nice lather that helps me get all of the dirt and makeup off of my skin.
Youth To The People Kombucha Toner
I’m pretty sure I included this in a previous routine, but I could be wrong. Toners were never something that I felt like I needed. I love the Youth To The People Kombucha + 11% AHA Exfoliation Power Toner because it gives my skin the exfoliation it needs without irritating it. It also has made such a difference in the texture and tone of my skin as well.
It uses lactic and glycolic acid to bring your skin back to life, and to reduce the size of visible pores. Tree bark also helps to protect your skin from the toxins and nonsense in the air.
As with any toner, you do not always need to use them. I like to use this one about three times a week so that my skin does not get annoyed with it. With a cotton ball, I apply it to my trouble areas. This is also ideal for those who also struggle with dry skin.

Youth To The People Adaptogen Deep Moisture Cream
My skincare revamp really launched off with a new moisturizer. I have been dedicated to the Tatcha Water Cream for literal years, but I was ready for a change. With the great results I had from the Kombucha Toner, I decided to give YTTP another chance. The Adaptogen Deep Moisture Cream had some amazing results on Sephora, and I decided it was perfect for my needs.
Redness, dryness, and fine lines are all things that I deal with. Squalane helps to moisturize your skin without clogging your pores. Ashwagandha helps your skin feel and look revitalized and youthful. It is also perfect for those of us who deal with high levels of stress that show in our skin. Reishi is what helps fight off signs of aging!
I was worried that it would feel too heavy on my skin considering it is marked as a deep moisture cream. It feels almost as light on my skin as the water cream did. I can also feel it start to hydrate my skin as soon as I put it on. It gives my skin a plump and glowing look, and it feels amazing going on.

I’ve used the same skincare for years so this has given me motivation to give it a bit of a mix up! I have incredibly dry skin so always get a bit scared to try something new though in case it doesn’t agree with me!
