It has happened to all of us. There is a point in time where we have either let go, or lost control of our lives for one reason or another. If that is something you are facing right now, the good news is that I have five tips that can help you finally get your life under control!

Figure Out What is Holding You Back
The first step should be to do a self-evaluation. Where do you feel the most out of control in your life? Is it at work, maybe it is in your relationship? Unless you know where you are struggling, it can be difficult to figure out what is keeping you down. The good news is with a bit of self-reflection and a few good questions, you can figure out where your weaknesses are and exactly how to work on them.
If you are someone who feels like you need to get your life under control, do a practice with me! You can download this worksheet which is designed to help you not only get your life under control but also to get your priorities straight!
Start Getting Clear About Your Goals and Your Life
When it comes to getting your life back, you should be making goals. These goals will help you become the best version of you, and it also gives you something to work toward. The goals should directly involve a place where you are feeling unfocused. If you want to improve your business, what goals and steps are you going to take in order to achieve those goals?
For every goal you have, make a list of three to five steps that you can do to help you achieve that goal. The steps should be things that you can actually do, not things that you think you should be doing. The clearer and more laid out your goals are, the more likely you are going to want to actually achieve those goals.
Write it Out, Literally!
For me, writing things out is the best way to do something. When you take the time to write something down, you are literally putting it into the universe. The more you put things into the universe, the more the universe is going to come up to meet you. I have a journal that I do my prompts, my gratitude, everything. Everything for my life and even my day is dedicated to that journal. You can also go back and look at it anytime you want to which is great to see how many things you have overcome.
Self-Love Over Self-Discipline
I wrote an entire post dedicated to why self-discipline just doesn’t work. We are working to be the best version of ourselves, so why would we be disciplining our thoughts or actions? Your life may seem out of control because you are not letting yourself live it, or you are trying to fit in someone else’s box. We need to be celebrating our “wins” every day and playing to our strengths. According to the 90/10 method, 90% of what you do should bring you feelings of self-love and self-worth, and 90% of those things needs to be internal. If you aren’t loving yourself to your highest potential, then you need to start that right now!

This post is just good for the soul, friend! I completely agree with you on making your goals super clear. We tend to get caught up in what we ‘should’ be doing where we ‘should’ already be at, and that can get discouraging/overwhelming. It’s all about doing what we can/what we can control.
Wishing you the most fabulous week, my friend!

AshleyThanks so much Ashley! I agree that we really get caught up in what everyone is doing and thinking we should be doing the same or better. It can be seriously overwhelming!
