I know that a lot of people are struggling to get into the festive spirit this year. A lot of it has to do with the just wild year we have had this year in addition to financial struggles, health scares, and so much more. If you are having trouble, here are 4 Christmas activities to help you get into the spirit this year.
I am pretty well-known among my friend group for decorating early. I’m a huge fan of Christmas and the entire season, and I like to celebrate it for as long as I can. Since many of us are still stuck at home right now, it is a perfect time to get your home festive and ready for the seasons. This is one of these Christmas activities I look forward to, and our house is pretty much done! It is also said that putting up your Christmas decorations can help your mental health!
Have a Festive Pamper Night
Once again, I am ALL ABOUT a bath night. Grab your favorite Lush bath bomb, light up a festive candle, and maybe even add some cookies and champagne to really treat yourself. I find that a warm bath at night can really make a regular day feel so special, and it can also help keep you warm during the cooler weather that we are all facing right now.
Decorate a Gingerbread House
Even though I actually SUCK at decorating Gingerbread houses, I always love doing them. Every year I look forward to seeing the new styles of gingerbread houses out. I picked up some row style gingerbread houses for Will’s daughter and I to decorate when she comes to visit! You also need to remember to get some special add-ons to make them magical!
Watch Your Favorite Christmas Film
Although everyone has probably done this, watch another one! This is one of those Christmas activities that you cannot pass up during the festive months. If you are looking for some great movie recommendations, be sure to check out my next post! In the meantime, you cannot go wrong with How the Grinch Stole Christmas, but make sure it is the Jim Carey version from 2001, please! I may have already watched it at least three times and it isn’t even Thanksgiving!
